Luke! Well, I hope the flight was ok. Being jetlagged is no fun, that's for sure. So, to help you out since you didn't have enough time to learn some Tagalog, here are a few key phrases/terms:
> Mabuhay (ma-boo-hi) = Greetings
> Magandang Umaga (ma-gun-dung u-ma-ga) = Good Morning
> Magandang Tanghali (ma-gun-dung tung-ha-li) = Good Mid-day
> Magandang Gabi (ma-gun-dung ga-bi) = Good evening
> Kamusta po kayo? (ka-mus-ta ph ka-yo) = How are you doing?
['po' is used to address elders as a sign of respect]
> Mabuti (ma-bu-ti) [po] = good
> Salamat (sa-la-mut) [po] = thank you
okay..'digest' that and if you want more, just lemme know! ;)
Have fun and update us often! :)
